Job Overview
As a Compliance Subject Matter Expert within our Customer Success Management (CSM) team, you will be instrumental in partnering with a diverse array of customers to define compliance strategy goals and facilitate the adoption of our products among key stakeholders. This role necessitates close collaboration with our product engineers, development teams, and clients to devise thorough compliance strategies aligned with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to comprehend specific governance requirements, objectives, and timelines, ensuring work is accurately scoped and success is clearly defined.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of various cybersecurity control frameworks and government directives to meet governance expectations using our products. Stay informed on updates to compliance frameworks and security directives to maintain our competitive edge in the cybersecurity domain.
- Attain mastery of our product offerings, integrating compliance expertise to enhance customer usage. Identify opportunities for product improvement and refine adoption strategies.
- Deliver engaging customer enablement sessions and training that empower users, fostering a thorough understanding and enthusiasm for effective product use. Work with technical teams to develop training materials.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted compliance advisor throughout the adoption journey and nurturing product advocates.
Required Skills
- Profound understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Expertise in cybersecurity control frameworks and US government directives (e.g., NIST 800-53 R4/R5, NIST 800-171⁄172, CMMC Version 2.0).
- Strong information assurance consulting, client engagement, and relationship management capabilities.
- Skill in conducting dynamic customer enablement sessions and delivering impactful end-user training.
- Proficiency in simplifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel, with potential up to 25% for those outside the Washington DC area.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a role focused on compliance within the US government or commercial sector.
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Proven track record in developing end-user training and enablement materials, combined with effective teamwork and communication.
